Isabelle is a partner and heads both the Litigation department and the Labour Law department of the firm.  Isabelle received her Bachelor of Civil Law in 1997 from Université de Montréal.

Isabelle has extensive experience in litigation including litigation involving injunctions, safeguard orders, and various litigation pertaining to termination of agreements, commercial leasing, restrictive covenants such as non-competition, non-solicitation and confidentiality clauses (both in commercial contracts and labour law), as well as in manufacturer’s and product liability, real estate and construction law and latent defects.

In labour law, Isabelle actively advises both employers and employees with respect to labour standards, employment contracts, employment policies, wrongful dismissal, termination of employment and human rights and the protection of privacy.

 

Isabelle has frequently been a speaker at seminars and conferences on various subjects in the areas of real estate law, latent defects and labour law.  Her conferences “What can haunt your transactions: latent defects and litigation” and “Commercial leases: better guide your clients and avoid litigation” were accredited by the OACIQ and are much appreciated by real estate agents.

Isabelle also taught courses on commercial leasing and the exclusion of legal warranties in deeds of sale in the Notarial Law Master's Degree program at Université de Sherbrooke.  She also acted as an external jurist for the Legal Research Methodology course at McGill University's Faculty of Law.

Isabelle’s practice devoted to civil and commercial litigation. As indicated above, her expertise is often sought for all types of litigation from latent defects to complex injunctions. In real estate law, she guides buyers, sellers and their agents through any all difficulty that arises during or after their transactions.

In labour law, Isabelle drafts and reviews employee policies, employments agreements, disciplinary notices and termination agreements. She also represents our clients, both federally and provincially regulated employers, before administrative and civils courts, as well as before arbitrators. She regularly assists our clients (both employers and employees) in mediation, conciliation and other alternative modes of dispute resolution.
